Live-Food Restaurants:

R. Thomas Deluxe Grille – Offers 2 live-food entrees, as well as smoothies, teas and other healthy foods.  They sell some prepared live-foods (primarily cultured vegetables) and these are also available in health food stores around Atlanta.

Lovin’ It Live (East Point) – Excellent live-food restaurant south of Atlanta.

Café Life (part of Life Grocery in Marietta) – Daily live-food entrees and super salad bar; also smoothies and other goodies.

Living Food Delights (Boulevard & I-20) – I haven’t it but I hear they mainly do their own prepared, packaged foods.

Cooked-Food Vegan Options:

There are several other places to find vegan options, but I am mentioning these ones in particular because they are actively trying to better the world by specializing in vegetarian cuisine.

Green Sprout - Monroe & Piedmont - Excellent vegan Chinese dishes.  Very fresh.

Soul Vegetarian - Highland Ave. - When you need "comfort food" they have awesome southern-style food.

Udipi Cafe - Lawrenceville Hwy. - Vegetarian Indian food restaurant; they use dairy so be sure to specify with your server.

R. Thomas Deluxe Grille - Peachtree - Several vegan options as well as non-vegetarian food.  Great for dining out with friends and family.

Raging Burrito - Decatur - Most of the specialty burritos can be ordered non-dairy with tofu or extra vegetables.

Groceries:

Dekalb Farmers Market – best prices and selection on organic produce.  They have pretty much everything you need to make living foods, such as Agave nectar, seeds & nuts, herbs & spices, hing, young coconuts, high-quality olives, coconut and olive oils.  They do not have raw buckwheat groats, carob, cacao, mesquite, coconut butter, Himalayan or Celtic Salt (they carry Real Salt – also good).

Sevananda – Not many specialty raw foods, but they have some prepared items in the back corner.  They also carry R. Thomas products.  They do have seeds for sprouting if you want to grow sprouts, and they have a good price on raw buckwheat groats in the bulk section.

Return to Eden – Probably the biggest selection of specialty raw food products in Atlanta, such as Carob, Mesquite, prepared foods, coconut oil, different kinds of salt, Goji berries, etc.

Whole Foods – not very much specific to living foods, but the produce and bulk sections are nice.

Rainbow Natural Foods – some specialty raw food products such as carob, Agave, etc.

Morningside Market - a weekly farmers' market on Saturday mornings year-round.

Decatur Organic Farmers' Market - a weekly farmers' market on Wednesday evenings year-round.

East Atlanta Village Farmers' Market -a weekly farmers' market on Thursday evenings, May-November.
